- Friends of the Library
- The Friends of the Library of El Dorado County is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization of volunteers. We support our libraries by raising money for children's programs, books and other needs of all the branches. We volunteer to hold fundraisers, book sales, and work in our libraries. Please join us!
- Volunteering at the Library
- We welcome your help at our libraries doing a variety of tasks, such as shelving, mending books, and processing new books. Our volunteers are a valued addition to our professional staff and we always welcome new support!
- One-on-One Volunteer Tutoring
- Become a volunteer tutor for our Adult Reading Center.
- Book Sales
- The Friends of the Library sell gently used books at their book sales and online. All branches hold ongoing Friends book sales in their lobbies and most schedule regular monthly book sales. Check here for the schedule.
- Your Book Donations
- We welcome donations of gently used books, audio cassettes, CDs, videocassettes and DVDs. Please check our Donation Guidelines before bringing donations to the library. Thank you for your books!
- Make a Donation
- You can support your library by making a donation through PayPal. It's as easy as 1… 2… 3…!
- Adopt-a-Book
- Give a gift to the library in honor or in memory of a loved one. Complete this form and send it to the library with your check payable to the El Dorado County Library.
- Programs and Events
- Support your library by coming to our Programs and Events. Many are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
