Create Your Own Storytime Kits

Share the excitement of reading by creating some of these wonderful kits that are filled with ideas for great books, fun felt board templates, crafts and much more! Each template contains suggested titles. Click on the MS Word 2010 links to open and save the Kit and Labels documents. You can edit the MS Word 2010 documents to suit your needs or you may choose to view the PDF version.

Each kit document consists of:

  1. a full page table of contents to be printed and organized into a binder for both staff and patron reference.
  2. a half page table of contents to be printed and taped inside the lid of the storytime kit box.
  3. a box label to be laminated and attached outside the storytime kit box.
  4. felt story patterns. If you’re feeling crafty, you’ll find patterns to make your own story pieces. If you feel like shopping, you’ll find links to sets available for purchase.

The book labels have been made using the Avery 5960 label template. Or, they can be printed on paper and taped.

MS Word 2010 version can be opened and edited from a desktop computer with MS Word 2010 installed. May not open properly on an iPad or tablet.

PDF version can be opened from any device with Adobe Reader installed. Can not be edited, but can be printed as is. To edit document please open from a desktop computer with MS Word 2010 installed.
